About DirectToSkip
A straightforward UK skip hire directory — built so people can find a trusted local supplier without trawling through pages of paid listings and lead-gen middlemen.
Why we built it
If you've ever tried to hire a skip in the UK, you'll know the search results are dominated by national lead-gen sites that collect your details, sell them on, and leave you fielding calls from suppliers who aren't even in your area. We built DirectToSkip as the alternative: a directory of genuine, local skip hire companies that you can contact directly. No booking fees, no middlemen, no surprises.
What you'll find here
Listings for hundreds of UK skip hire companies, organised by city and town. Each listing tells you which skip sizes a supplier offers (from 2-yard mini skips through to 40-yard RORO containers), where they're based, and how to get in touch — usually by phone, or through our enquiry form. We cover every major city in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
How we keep listings accurate
Most listings start from public records — Companies House, business websites, and other openly published sources — then get tidied up and standardised. Suppliers can claim their listing to take ownership, update their details, and respond to enquiries directly. If you spot something out of date, let us know and we'll fix it.
How we're funded
DirectToSkipis free for the public to use. We make money two ways: optional premium listings for suppliers who want featured placement, direct enquiries, and analytics, and a small amount of ad revenue from carefully-vetted ad partners that doesn't interfere with the directory itself. Suppliers always pay us, not the other way around — we never charge people for a quote.
What we stand for
- Local first. A skip booked from a local yard costs less, arrives faster, and keeps money in the local economy.
- Plain English. No jargon, no hidden fees, no "up to 50% off" nonsense.
- Privacy by default. We don't sell your data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
- Built for the UK. Permit rules, skip sizes, prohibited items — everything on the site reflects how skip hire actually works here, not generic global advice.
